How we research our guides
Our guides cover dogs in history, famous dogs, breeds, and caring for your own dog. This page explains who writes them, how we use AI, and how we check what we publish. If you find a mistake, we want to hear about it.
Who writes our guides
Our guides are written by TimeWalkies Editorial. We don't invent experts, credentials, or bylines. The name on a page tells you who made it.
How we use AI
AI helps us research topics and write first drafts. It speeds up the work, but it doesn't get the final say. Every draft goes through the fact check below before it can be published.
The dogs pictured in our guides are TimeWalkies postcards, made with AI. They show our own illustrated breed dogs. We never use a customer's dog, or a customer's photo, on these pages.
How we check facts
Every guide lists its sources, numbered, at the bottom of the page, so you can check them yourself. Each factual sentence is tied to one of those sources in our records. A second AI model, separate from the one that wrote the draft, checks each claim against its source. If the source doesn't support a claim, we cut the claim.
Our sources
We rely on primary records, museums, universities, and established reference works. For dog health and care, we use veterinary references such as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Merck Veterinary Manual, and the American Kennel Club (AKC). We never cite AI-written encyclopedias.
Health and care
Our care guides are general information, not veterinary advice. Every dog is different, and a guide can't examine yours. If you have a question about your dog's health, ask your vet.
